Illinois Promise has provided access to an Illinois education for students with the greatest financial need for over twenty years. In addition to financial aid, recipients receive social and academic support as they navigate their collegiate experience and build community.
Illinois Promise Scholars enrich the campus community across every academic discipline, bringing diverse backgrounds and experiences. Like all our graduates, they leave a lasting impact on the world in remarkable ways. Numbering more than 1,300, Illinois Promise Scholars receive an average I-Promise award of $10,681. The generosity of friends and alumni makes it possible for our university to continually support student success, especially for those students who encounter financial barriers.
