In the spring of 2022, a group of students from the School of Labor and Employment Relations (LER) launched a fundraising campaign to establish the First Impression Equity Opportunity Fund. Their goal was to support first-semester, low-income students in obtaining professional attire essential for their success at LER, both academically and as future human resources professionals. By addressing disparities in access to professional clothing, the First Impression Equity Opportunity Project empowers students to present themselves with confidence in professional settings.
Since launching this campaign, we have supported four new students this past school year, bringing our total impact to 20 students. We were also able to increase the award to $200 with your help.
With your support, we aspire to continue to sustain and expand their initiative for years to come.
