About

The Bachelor of Liberal Studies program empowers students who are ready to finish what they started—and redefine what is possible for their futures. Designed for returning and adult learners, the online program gives students the flexibility and support to complete their undergraduate degrees on their terms. Many of our students have already navigated professional responsibilities and real-world challenges, what they often need most is the opportunity to take the next step with confidence. Your support makes that possible.

Students in the Bachelor of Liberal Studies bring with them a wealth of lived experience, curiosity, and determination. They arrive with goals that range from advancing in their current careers to opening new doors entirely. Yet financial barriers can make it difficult to return to school after time away. Tuition, technology, family obligations, and the rising cost of living all play a role in whether a student can persist through to degree completion.

Bachelor of Liberal Studies scholarships exist to remove these barriers. Philanthropic support helps ensure that returning students can continue their education without interruption and stay focused on what matters most: finishing their degree and shaping the future they’ve envisioned. Scholarships provide immediate, meaningful impact. They ease financial pressure, affirm students’ belief in their own potential, and signal that the Illinois community stands behind them as they take this important step.

For many of our students, completing a bachelor’s degree isn’t just a personal milestone—it’s a transformative shift for their families, workplaces, and communities. Graduates go on to contribute across sectors and industries, drawing on a rich liberal arts foundation that blends analytical thinking, creativity, communication, and problem-solving. By investing in their success, you are investing in leaders who think critically, ask big questions, and bring interdisciplinary insight to the challenges of today’s world.
