David Zola served as a clinical professor in the Department of Educational Psychology, pouring his wit and wisdom into students at all levels until his passing in 2018. As many of the 30,000-some Illini he taught over three decades can attest, the late David Zola “loved meeting and mentoring students over coffee."
To honor Dr. Zola's inspiring legacy and unwavering dedication to his students, the Dr. David Zola Coffee Bar was established in 2021. Housed within the Office of Undergraduate Programs, the coffee bar has become the hub of collaboration, community and inspiration within the College of Education.
The space has become such a student staple that additional support is needed to maintain the coffee bar and Dr. Zola's legacy. Gifts not only provide coffee, snacks and equipment upgrades that directly impact Education students - they are the catalyst for building a positive community and strengthening a shared student experience.
Dr. David Zola inspired generations of learners through his kindness and his commitment to recognizing the dignity of every student. He enjoyed each moment he spent furthering the self-discovery and development of students, whether over discussions, research, or many, many cups of coffee.
Make a gift in support of the Dr. David Zola Coffee Bar and lift Education at Illinois learners up.
