Gifts to Support LER's Student First Impression Equity Opportunity Fund contribute to...
In the spring of 2022, a group of students from the School of Labor and Employment Relations (LER) launched a fundraising campaign to establish the First Impression Equity Opportunity Fund. Their goal was to support first-semester, low-income students in obtaining professional attire essential for their success at LER, both academically and as future human resources professionals. By addressing disparities in access to professional clothing, the First Impression Equity Opportunity Project empowers students to present themselves with confidence in professional settings.
Through their continued efforts, the fund has provided financial assistance to 14 students, enabling them to purchase professional attire for interviews, information sessions, class presentations, and other career development opportunities.
With your support, we aspire to sustain and expand their initiative for years to come.
