Gifts to Support First Gen Success at the Jeffries Center contribute to...
First generation students are tenacious and driven to build new legacies. During Orange & Blue Week, you can support first generation Illini students in 2 important ways:
1. Empowering First-Gen Illini Legacies at Commencement
Being hard working, dedicated, and resilient has helped propel our first generation students toward graduation and their future success. Now that they are officially part of the Illini Alumni Family, let's celebrate this achievement together! Your gift can make the difference!
-$100 supports the celebration of four First Generation Graduates
-$250 supports the celebration of 10 First Generation Graduates
-$500 or more supports the celebration of 20+ First Generation Graduates
Today and everyday - we celebrate First Gen students at Illinois. Let's celebrate this graduation milestone together!
2. Support the First-Gen Scholars Research Program (FGSRP)
This program connects first-generation college students eligible for federal work-study with the opportunity to participate in meaningful and high-impact research. FGSRP scholars build on their existing abilities within a supportive community of scholars. They also received matched mentorship with distinguished Illinois faculty, many of whom identify as first-generation themselves. Your donation is vital to supporting the continuation of innovative, high-impact programs such as this one.
- For one week of the program, one scholar can be supported with a gift of $40.
- For a month of the program, one scholar can be supported with a gift of $160.
- For a semester of the program, one scholar can be supported with a gift of $650 or more.
Make your gift today to help us celebrate and empower our first gen Illini students!
