Recently, this spirited and adventurous pup severely fractured her left pelvic limb after jumping off the bed. At an ER, a splint could not be placed due to the injury's location, so Dior was sent home with pain medications.

As Dior continued to struggle, her primary veterinarian referred her to the orthopedic surgery service at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital. There, surgeons were able to stabilize her fracture and put Dior on the road to recovery.
