The School of Art and Design at Illinois is approaching its 150th anniversary in 2027 with a bold vision: to expand access, deepen creative research, and build the foundation for a new era of art and design education.
To prepare for this milestone, we are launching 150 for 150, a focused annual giving campaign to raise $150,000 in support of the programs, people, and infrastructure that will shape the future of creative excellence at Illinois.
This campaign strengthens the School today while building momentum towards its sesquicentennial year—supporting student travel, materials access, collaborative research, Chicago exhibitions, and a new building initiative.
For nearly 150 years, the School of Art & Design has shaped generations of artists, designers, educators, and creative leaders. As we look ahead, we invite our community to invest in the next chapter of innovation, discovery, and artistic impact.
The School has designated the following as our top 150 for 150 fundraising priorities.
- Student Travel
- Equipment & Materials
- Collaborative Research & Creative Projects
- New Art Building Foundation
- Chicago Exhibitions & Public Programming
- 150th Anniversary Celebration
